?Lift Up your Eyes- The harvest is Ready?, was this year?s DOVE Africa convention theme. The convention brought together more than one hundred leaders from the continent who were greatly impacted by the three-day event.

Larry Kreider, the DOVE International Director, encouraged all the delegates present to keep their commitment in achieving the DOVE Challenge 2020 of planting 1000 churches. He urged all leaders to keep watch of the bumper harvest and be involved in God?s vineyard.

Wes Dudley, associate Pastor DOVE Westgate church appreciated the DOVE Africa leaders for embracing God?s call to get to the harvest field. He encouraged the delegates to keep up the good work of church planting adding that this will greatly help in achieving DOVE?s Challenge 2020.

Pastor Lewis Kagigi from Rwanda narrated how the church in Rwanda has progressed despite challenges, urging all leaders present to trust in God to be able to achieve more in church planting. On his part, Pastor Joseph Ngoy from Congo explained how the church in the country is helping reach out to the marginalized communities through compassionate visits.

countries who attended the conventionThe convention brought together delegates from Uganda, Congo, Rwanda, India, Ghana, Zambia and Kenya. The leaders present were happy with what God was doing in different regions with reports by different regional leaders showing much progress in reaching the challenge.

DOVE Africa missionaries also had a chance to share about the victories they have had despite challenges of insecurity. Metrine Karuri narrated a time when her husband was not at home, and gunshots started erupting in the village. She says that she held her child, her Bible, and just began to pray. Thankfully, the fracas calmed down and all was well.

Ibrahim and Diane Omondi, DOVE Africa apostolic leaders, expressed their joy with the progress made by the leaders and encouraged all to keep the fire burning.
